The TDE MX5 NA/NB “DIY” Kit is designed for track day use, and has to be installed by a skilled mechanic.

 The highly efficient Rotrex C30-74 Supercharger comes with a pulley size according to power demand. With an efficient intercooler and proper electronics, the kit is capable of producing up to 300hp and an almost constant linear torque through the entire power band. With cooler air operating temperatures and total drivability the TDE supercharger DIY kit provides instant throttle response and a progressive power curve opposite to the turbo characteristic that makes the car difficult to control during reduced friction on the track.

 Rotrex superchargers operate much cooler when compared to turbochargers and the standard downpipe does not increase backpressure that results in hot trapped residual gases that heat the incoming charge air with risk of detonation. Rotrex superchargers are very compact has high adiabatic efficiency, low vibration, and quiet operation.


TDE’s skilled 3-D experts has used Additive Manufacturing and 5-axis CNC machines to manufacture thealuminum brackets in aircraft aluminum. In the design-process based on many years of experience, low center of gravity and robust installation was key. Only high quality products are used in the kit and together with the most reliable supercharger on the market many exiting hours on the track is secured.

The DIY kit requires the installer to fabricate the supercharger inlet pipe, charge pipes, and intercooler as well as provide all necessary support parts and tuning. Fits MX5 NA and ND 1,6 and 1,8.

Please notice when ordering that the crank nose of the NA 1,6 1989-1993 is shorter and need a special Crank pulley supplied in the kit.

The NB kit is TÜV approved for road use when installed by Kolstrup Tuning Aps.
